Class of ‘59 60th Reunion
Hi Classmates!
On September 21, 2019, 65 of us enjoyed the warm hospitality of Leisure World in Silver Spring complete with comfortable surroundings, great food including Maryland crab cakes, and the relaxed opportunity to socialize with friends from the classes of '58, '59, and '60. We have received a number of compliments that emphasized the appreciation of the low key program. It was wonderful to have a number of classmates who had never attended a previous reunion. Also, the active support from the Class of 1960 was very much appreciated by all. It was certainly my joy to be able to chair and host this year's event and we are already considering the possibility of a 65th year reunion when we have reached our early 80's. Any volunteers for hosting?
Ken Simons, our lifetime webmaster, wants to remind everyone that we hold quarterly lunches at Leisure World in the Terrace Room Restaurant. These meetings have been well attended for a number of years. Lunches are reasonably priced and we do have the opportunity for conversation sharing among classmates. All three classes are warmly invited to these get together opportunities and the schedule for upcoming lunches will be announced on our Northwood web site.(northwoodhs.com) or by email.
Thank you for your active participation in our 60th year reunion. I want to especially thank Ken Simons, Rob Ciapetta, Jane Greenberg Nyce, John Grimsley, Linda Whiting Johnson, Bob McCullah, Ed Hutman, and Sue Whitmer Taylor for their support and contributions to the reunion program. Congratulations to the two attendees who had their reunion fee reimbursed and the other lucky winners who won prizes of memory books, a Northwood photo, CD's, and cash.
